She was prepared: So now what?

As about .05% of the spam bots who read my blog know, yesterday’s season 3 finale saw the fulfillment of what a lot of people have been expecting and/or dreading for quite a while; the egghead became a princess, complete with wings and a coronation ceremony.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re not that in that .05%. Go home. Nothing to see here.

If you do know what the hell I’m talking about, or you are simply curious, stay awhile, and listen. I’m going to do something I’ve never done before; analyze an episode of a kid’s show.

Filly, you’ll be a princess, soon

For 99% of the few people who actually read Bullp*ss; you can go about your business. As indicated by the title, this probably doesn’t concern you. Everybody else, come in a bit closer. It is time for rumors to be dispelled. I have something to tell you.

I’m actually listening to Urge Overdrive Neil Diamond right now.

Yeah. There has always been something cool about that song. I think it is the toy piano.

Also, Twilight Sparkle is becoming an Alicorn princess.

Presidential Candidates 2012: Princess Celestia

There is an election upon us. How can we forget? Every day, we’re bombarded by television, radio, and print endorsements for the presidential candidates paid for by the parties and rich-ass bastards practically buying your vote. The toxic bullp*ss is getting so deep on both sides that I need a hazmat suit.  It is times like this I wish I had a real 3rd party choice. One that might win. One that might end this republican and democrat crap for good. The real silent majority knows nothing will ever get done as long as the parties are cock-blocking each other all day.

If I’m going to fantasize about getting a real leader in office, I might as well go whole-hog. This time, I’m going to throw my nomination into my long-neglected fantasy candidates series. Anybody who knows me probably knew this was coming. My pick for fantasy presidential candidate is Princess Celestia.

Two Cool, but Unrelated Things: AKA; the lazy post.

First off, I’d like to say this: I had no clue who Whitney Houston was. I was pretty sure she was Tina Turner, because every song I thought Houston did was actually done by Tina Turner. What’s the difference anyway, other than one of them is an Iranian spy? They’re both from the same era, both performed some songs, both had abusive men in their life, and both haven’t done anything relevant since the early 90’s.

Onward, to the amphibians, and animation cycles.

Why We Can’t Have Nice Things 3: The continuing saga of a little grey mare.

A lot has happened since I wrote, only last week, about the “controversy” surrounding the speaking part of Ponyville’s favorite ditzy pegasus, Ditzy (Derpy Whooves) Doo.  Soon after my article, it seemed Derpy’s fate was to be sent to the moon, as “The Last Roundup” vanished from iTunes, her name was stricken from the websites of those affiliated with the show, and Welovefine, the official merchandise outlet for “adult” pony stuff, renamed  items emblazoned with her image.

However, as quickly as it had vanished, her name reappeared, and the offending episode appeared smack-dab in the center of the official My Little Pony Page. Now, rumor has it, Hasbro officials have said Derpy won’t be sent to the moon after all.

What da hell?

Fan-Made Pony Fighter is Serious Business

Stop me if you’ve heard this one. A few animators, programmers, and musical producers walk into a bar. The bartender looks up and asks “What are you nerds up to?”. The animators, programmers, and musical producers say, “We’re going to make a fighting game based on the newly revised My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic franchise.

It might sound funny, but in May of last year, a team of 6 programmers and animators got together specifically for that purpose.  They called themselves Mane6 (for several obvious reasons). The game they’re making, MLP: Fighting is Magic, is definitely no joke.

2011: The Year of the Pony

That is a capital idea, Spitfire.

Last year wasn’t the greatest for me. However, there were a few things that brought me joy during the self-imposed monotony and funk of 2011. The next few posts will be about these things.

Of course, anybody who knows me, or who has read anything I’ve written since May, knows there is one distraction that stood out above all others. I’d like to get this elephant equine out of the room first.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

On its face, the idea of grown men watching a show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, sounds very odd (to say the least). I didn’t know what the hell was wrong with the world when I first read about the phenomenon in May of 2011. However, being a guy who watches a lot of cartoons and who probably enjoys kids shows a little more than he should, I had to look into it. I never expected it to be one of the best television shows I have ever seen.
